Rustic but very useful locking storage chest. This old Carpenter's Tool Chest has a darkened red painted exterior. Both the easy sliding, paper lined drawers have working locks with keys. Under the lid is a hide-a-way storage area accesses by unlocking the fancy latch. It also has the original hand forged handles on the sides and thick, black painted cast iron strapping along the four corners for extra stability and strength.
The Chest measures 31-1/2" wide, 17-1/4 deep and 22" tall, a great size for a side table, coffee table or at the end of the bed for blanket storage. The two locking drawers really make it special, with the top one being a little taller at 3-1/4" and the bottom one is 2-1/2". It is in remarkable condition considering it's original work horse use, showing all the years of history. Just a great, country piece in excellent, working condition for it's age. Price: $240
