ca. 1900 Cal. Rancho True Folk Art "Padre" Hand Forged Iron Entry Bell in Concord, Ohio For Sale

This standing Padre figure has an articulated arm attached to the iron hand ringer which moves up and down as the bell is rung. A lovely piece of California Rancho style hand forged iron work door bell from the late 19th or early 20th century with tons of detail, a hand tooled back plate and a dragon head out front guarding the door. The bell itself is brass. It's all original including the iron pull and handle. At some time in it's history, was repainted black which actually has preserved the piece for all these years. The figure is missing one arm and the bell needs a clapper. The overall measurement with the Iron pull is 28". The piece itself is 20" tall, 10" deep and 8" wide. This is a wonderful piece of true antique folk art, quite large and heavy. Clean and ready to be hung. $550
