Primitive Antique Fireplace Firewood Box/Bin W/ Red Paint & Eagle in Concord, Ohio For Sale

This lovely old primitive Americana Firewood Storage Box is what they call a, "Five Board Box" because all four sides and the bottom are made from one solid board. Slotted screws hold the Black Metal Strapping that are on all four sides for stability. Although the edges have a few minor dings and dents, the box is in strong and sturdy condition painted in a naturally aged rusty-red color and the box has small floor protectors on the bottom. The two hinged iron handles on the sides are in excellent condition.
The box is made to hold a full day's load of firewood saving trips outside to the lumber pile. It measures 27-3/4" Wide, 22" Deep and 18" Tall. The photos show the wood box sitting on a dolly so I can move it around easier and keeping the bottom of it dry, off the floor.
This is a lovely old piece of Americana that will add charm to your room next to the fireplace this winter. It's so nice, you can use it to store anything in, like blankets, towels, etc. and will look great in any room adding a nice touch of color. $165
